THE UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS POLICY MANUAL SUBJECT: Student Organizations POLICY NO.: 1:2E:15:01 DATE: August 30, 1989 SUPERSEDES POLICY NO.: 1:2E:15:01 DATED: January 31, 1981 The University recognizes that extra-curricular activities form an important part of the overall educational experience of its students, and it promotes and regulates the activities of student organizations. The University also provides the use of its name and physical facilities and gives advice and counsel to Student Organizations that encourage the positive development of students. The Vice-President for Student Educational Services is responsible for the development of procedures relating to student organizations and for insuring that such procedures are in compliance with The Tennessee Board of Regents Policy.
