Profile
Torlisia Davis is a Memphis native who joined the College of Health Sciences in the fall of 2021. Her comprehensive background spans nursing leadership, health promotion, and academic instruction. As a registered nurse supervisor and admissions nurse, she has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to manage clinical operations, conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical intake assessments, and lead shift workflows in behavioral health and long-term care environments.
As an educator, she has instructed a diverse range of courses at the University of Memphis, including Medical Assisting, Electrocardiography, and Program Planning and Development, while also teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology at the vocational level. In addition to her teaching portfolio, she is the founder and director of Healthcare Haven, where she designs and delivers essential community training in CPR certification, Narcan administration, and professional caregiver education. Her institutional service includes contributions to the University of Memphis Strategic Planning Committee and the National Career Association CET Task Force. Drawing upon her rich background in clinical practice, entrepreneurship, and health promotion, she provides students with real-world insights into patient care and healthcare administration. Her goal is to equip future healthcare professionals with the rigorous clinical knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in the medical field.
