Profile

My name is Professor Maggie Landry. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed School Social Worker (LSSW) in the state of Tennessee. I'm an elected board member for the National Association of Social Workers' Tennessee Chapter (NASW-TN). I have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology (2012), and a Master of Social Work (2014); both from the University of Memphis-- Go Tigers! My background is in both early intervention behavior modification for families with children under 6, as well as domestic violence intervention with offenders and victims/families. More recently, I have been helping the Tennessee social work community by sharing my knowledge of the Tennessee rules and regulations for social work licensure, presenting at various events and providing private consultations surrounding continuing education and licensure supervision requirements. I have been working for the University of Memphis since 2009, when I was an undergraduate student. Currently, I serve as Assistant Professor of Teaching and Assistant MSW Field Director for the School of Social Work at the University of Memphis. As a field director, I coordinate the 2nd year/Advanced Standing field placement internships. In addition to my regular job duties, I've also converted several courses for the School of Social Work in both the BA and MSW programs from either in-person to M50 online format, or from 410 online format to M50 online format (higher accessibility standards). As a result, I've been named one of the UofM College of Arts and Sciences' "Top Online Instructors".
