Faculty and Staff Profiles

Crystal Beaman is an Associate Professor of Teaching and Internship Coordinator of Sport and Leisure Management in the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management at the University of Memphis. Mrs. Beaman earned a B.S. in Healthcare Management from the University of Alabama, and a M.S. in Sport Commerce from the University of Memphis.

 At the University of Memphis, her most commonly taught courses include Field Experience in Sport and Leisure Management, Leisure and Recreation Program Development, Event Management, Diversity and Inclusion in Sport and Leisure, Chronology of Sport, and Senior Sport and Leisure Management Capstone Experience.

Crystal lettered in volleyball at the University of Alabama, garnering AVCA All-American and First Team All-SEC honors. After her collegiate career, she played professionally in Germany and Spain. Prior to arriving at the University of Memphis, she served as the head volleyball coach at Victory University. She was also a recipient of the AVCA Minority Coaches scholarship.
