Center for Multimedia Arts (2003-2014): The CMA housed expertise in information, interface, print, exhibit, and user-centered design as well as the full scope of video production. The Center applied these resources to commercial work as well as to comprehensive initiatives to improve the quality of children and families’ lives. The CMA worked with doctors, nurses, and child life professionals to elicit the perspectives of parents and terminally ill children in pediatric advance care planning. And the Center worked with local government and non-profit agencies to improve child and family wellbeing by developing tools and processes that helped front-line practitioners better identify needs, define problems, develop plans, and take meaningful, effective action.
