Spring 2012-Advisor to 22 Accelerated BSN program option students; sent emails, met with students; ongoing communication to promote success and graduation. Met with numerous students in Basic BSN program throughout semeseter on variety of issues relative to academic success, needed referrals, career counseling, and mentoring.   
 
Fall 2011: Advisor to 29 Accelerated Second Degree BSN students  
 
Fall 2010: Key involvement in reinstituting Faculty Advising in the LSON; completed a literature search on faculty advising, developed faculty processes, and provided faculty articles and tools to support advising Best Practices (located in Faculty Virtual Office).   
 
Spring 2003: Advised each of my 16 advisees for summer and fall 2003.  Documentation was made of students' progress toward meeting BSN degree requirements. Met with individual (n = 35) students providing tutoring /mentoring o how to write a professional paper.  The Foundations of Nursing Practice (NRUS 2217) course is the first nursing course to require a formal professional paper.  Spent an average of 30 minutes per student on this project.      
 

Fall 2003: Advised 25 students for spring 2004. Met with tudents who made less than 75% on each unit exam in NURS 2217 to counsel on ways to improve grade. Met with 75% of the class (n = 70) to discuss the formal paper requirement in NURS 2217.  Met with students (n = 70) to go over draft of formal paper.  NURS 2219 met with entire clinical group (= 7) to discuss clinical correlations with theory and practice.  

 
Spring 2004: Advised approximately 25 students to plan for next semester's registration for classes.  Available to meet with students regarding formal geriatric paper required for Foundations of Nursing Practice (NURS 2217).  Met with each student who scored below 75% on any exam in NURS 2217.  Met with NURS 2217 and NURS 2219 students to discuss classroom and clinical performance.  
 
Fall 2004: Met with students in Community Health Nursing to discuss clinical and classroom performance.  Met with graduate students in Administrative Practice to discuss classroom performance and guidance in formal paper development.  
 
Spring 2005: Provided guidance to and consultation for students in NURS 3129 Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practicum (n =9); NURS 4127 Community Health Nursing (n = 30); NURS 7132 Case Management in Adult Health (n = 8). 
 
Fall 2005: Provided advisement to undergraduate nursing students (n = 30) planning for next semester classes and long-range class/course planning.  Met with with students in all classes; maintained office hours and made appointments to meet student needs.    
 
Spring 2006: Met with all assigned undergraduate advisees (n = 46); was available to assist and guide graduate students enrolled in NURS 7603 (n = 28), NURS 7604 (n = 5), and NURS 7003 (n = 25). 
 
 Fall 2006: Met with all assigned undergraduate advisees (n = 56); also assisted and and guided graduate students enrolled in NURS 7603 (n = 19) and NURS 7003 (n = 8).   
 
Spring 2007:  Met with undergraduate advisees (n = 55) to plan course completion.  Also mentored graduate students enrolled in NURS 7003 (n = 20) and NURS 5104 (n = 19).
