| Spring 2003: Advised each of my 16 advisees for summer and fall 2003. Documentation was made of students' progress toward meeting BSN degree requirements. Met with individual (n = 35) students providing tutoring /mentoring o how to write a professional paper. The Foundations of Nursing Practice (NRUS 2217) course is the first nursing course to require a formal professional paper. Spent an average of 30 minutes per student on this project. |
Fall 2003: Advised 25 students for spring 2004. Met with tudents who made less than 75% on each unit exam in NURS 2217 to counsel on ways to improve grade. Met with 75% of the class (n = 70) to discuss the formal paper requirement in NURS 2217. Met with students (n = 70) to go over draft of formal paper. NURS 2219 met with entire clinical group (n = 7) to discuss clinical correlations with theory and practice. |
