Profile
Dr. Blake earned her Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi. She has been working with multiple NSF initiatives at the University of Texas at El Paso for the last 10 years including CO-PI and director of PETE and Noyce projects. She worked on the NSF Mathematic Science Partnership (MSP) project through the College of Science as the Director of the Research Pedagogical Laboratory Project and the Center for Research on Educational Reform as a Research Mentor and Founding Board Member . She was a founding Faculty of the Center of Excellence and Teaching and Learning funding through the NSF Model Institute of Excellence (MIE) Project. She was CO-PI on the GK-12 NSF project and senior faculty on the Gateways Project through the College of Science. She was the science mentor for the URI project. She has acquired more the $6 million dollars in 0utside funding from NSF, NASA, and Teacher Quality Grants. Dr. Blake has been on grant reviewing committees for NSF, the State Department of Education and Eisenhower Funding Projects.
