Appendix C - Research/Scholarship/Creative Activities
  • Since the Fall semester of 2010 through the Fall of 2014, Ms. Cervetti has kept in touch and met with numerous former students that have graduated and become licensed teachers in Tennessee and other states.  She has helped them to create materials, has given them items to enhance lessons and centers, has supported them in their teaching (if they had questions pertaining to her area of expertise), and encouraged them through job changes and returning to school to pursue advanced degrees.

Ms. Cervetti teaches through the extended programs department which has her teaching off campus in Collierville and Covington and in the evening as well.  These times and locations contributed to the difficulty in finding time to volunteer, work, or collaborate on other projects or peers in the department.  She was able to work with her peers to score the Masters face to face comps.
  • During the Fall 2010 semester I collaborated with another special education instructor to create a Role Play of an IEP meeting.  This became the final project for my ICL 4020 course.  Each student was assigned a different role to play for their classmate as well.  The student was given a "student" and all of the pertinent information needed for them to conduct an appropriate meeting with the parent and general education teacher (those roles were played by another instructor and myself).
